  i had a fantastic february, went over my sales target by 121 %, did a fabulous school pull out feature (all on my own) wrote a couple of stories that got printed in the paper.

  i was go go go in feb. then come march, work forces a technical error issue to arise regarding previous months sales (they don't want to pay me the full 10k) and in order to fight it - takes far too much stress so negotiated an agreement (settling on 7.2k).

  that kind of took the wind out of my sails/sales, just haven't felt like selling again, went for another job interview, they offered exactly what i'm getting here and when i tried negotiating they haven't even had the ettiquette to return calls / emails.

  Nephew Giving Once-Big-Shot-Elder Financial Aid

  my nephew is a graduate of an alabama university and harvard.. he didn't listen to the warnings about seeking higher education, and has a good job.. the elder sunk himself trying to keep his son, who did not apply himself in school, out of prison.. it's a sad situation, but it shows how foolish the wt's directives can be.. sylvia.

  If I was DA/d or D/Fd, I would genuinely love to be able to show the shunning clan what genuine Christian love for your fellow human being really looks like!

  Jesus is his earthly name, Michael is his heavenly name

  i know this topic has been discussed before on this forum, but as it goes in jw world we need reminders.. co said in his last talk i can't remember the title in speaking about jesus, that when jesus returned to heaven he resumed his name michael.

  jesus was his earthly name.. through the entire rest of the bible after his ressurection not one reference is made about this.

  case in point----when jesus oh wait michael pulled saul over and talked to him, he introduced his self as jesus.

  I had a thought about this topic last week after I read these verses in Daniel again:

  (Daniel 10:13) "Mi´cha·el, one of the foremost princes, came to help me...". (Jesus - as the Word - wasn't the foremost prince?????)

  (Daniel 12:1) "And during that time Mi´cha·el will stand up, the great prince who is standing in behalf of the sons of your people........"

  So if Jesus is Michael in heaven, then why will he been downgraded from king, to the status of a prince at the Great Tribulation???????

  Troubling experience at 1 day assembly re: little jw child

  just had my 1day assembly this weekend.

  an experience given by the bethel speaker was quite troubling and shows how jw's live in constant paranoia, anxiety and they isolate themselves from normal living.. a first grade class was having a fire drill.

  everyone ( except one) lined up and stood outside away fron the classroom in the grass.

  When I reluctantly recall my memories of both Primary & Secondary schools in the UK, I can fully appreciate why so many Witnesses "home school" their children rather than send them into the 'lion's den'!

  The psychological and vicious physical abuse I got at school for being different by being excluded from religious instruction, is something I wouldn't wish on anyone's child.

  Now decades later, I hear of different Witness teenagers doing projects for their religious instruction classes; has the "exclusion" thing ceased now?

  i was perusing the index of bible words in the back of the nnwt and found it interesting that the name jesus has only one scripture listed.

  the title christ has five.

  the name satan has twelve.

  Acts 11:26 - "the disciples were by divine providence called Christians."

  Matthew 10:18 - ".....for my sake, for a witness to them and the nations.

  Mark 13:9 - "......before governors and kings for my sake, for a witness to them."

  Acts 1:8 - "You will be witnesses of me...."

  John 1:15 - "John bore witness about him..." [JESUS]

  John 5:37 - "the Father who sent me has himself borne witness about me."

  John 8:18 - "the Father who sent me bears witness about me."

  John 15:26,27 - "..will bear witness about me; and YOU in turn, are to bear witness."

  Acts 4:17,18 - ...upon the basis of this (Jesus') .... upon the basis of the name of Jesus.

  Observations About Today's WT Study

  i made the following observations about today's wt study:.

  5 jesus inspected, refined, and cleansed his followers between 1914-1919. so if they were cleansed why were they still celebrating christmas and birthdays, something they now claim to be unclean?.

  6 jesus then appointed a "faithful and discreet: slave.

  Convenient avoidance of, and re-wording of the Bible Students' (via Russell) teachings and beliefs in paragraph 3 - "The Bible Students spent decades pointing out that the year 1914 would be significant."

  NO - The Bible Students spent decades telling everyone that Christ had become king in 1874, and 1914 would see the rapture and the end of wickedness on the earth!!

  Any HQ Writing staff lurking here? Do you actually know what the word 'deception' means?

  Doesn't your conscience boot you up your rear end, trying to waken you up to what is real truth?

  I genuinely believe that many (if not most) members of the Worldwide Order of Special Full-Time Servants are already struggling to cope with all the flip-flops, contradictions, and downright lies.

  My heart goes out to them, because I appreciate the terrible cost they will pay if they "come out".

  And who can they trust & talk to? Many of us here - either openly or via P.Ms.
